Dragon Candle Wall Sconce
We are often approached by clients who have a very particular, yet unusual idea that they would love to get made into reality. On this occasion our client wanted a characterful dragon wall sculpture grasping a candle sconce. He was made using mild steel sections that were forged into his torso, head, arms, legs and tail. These were then texturised to create muscle definition and a "scale" effect, then brass-brushed to create highlights. His wings were made from copper sheet then braised to the mild steel frame. A copper sulphate solution was then applied to the texturised copper wings to create a verdigris turquoise colouring. The clients were thrilled with the new addition to their family and we have since been told that he has been named "Pigog The Destroyer". |

Door Hinge Pins
We were contacted by a client who was renovating a house and required a set of male hinge pins making for an 18th century walnut Italian door. Each pin was made from 4 sections of mild steel and made to be fully adjustable to allow the door to sit straight. |

Calla Lily Handled Fire Tool Set and Stand
This fire tool set comprising of a poker and hook/rake tool was a private commission. The client required that the piece be able to lie in front of the fire but was unsure as to what the stand was to look like. So working with the client, the design was finalised with the tools having Calla Lily handles and the stand incorporating lily leaves so, when not in use, it looks like a bunch of flowers.

Large Centre Piece Church Candle Holder
This piece was inspired by the elegant dance positions of the traditional Tarian Asyik dancer, especially the fluid movements and hand postures. This is reflected in the waved tapers that are on either side of the candlestick.
The candlestick is made of mild steel and stands approximately 13" tall, it has a large hot chiseled and drifted hole that is representative of the dancers head. It also includes heavy punched and riveted detailing. This piece is finished with wax. The candlestick can easily hold a 3" church candle.

Eccentric Wall Clock
This intriguing little clock has tribal influences and is quite reminiscent of the blacksmith's puzzles of old. The large chiseled and drifted holes allow the steel to weave itself through and around to help create this lovely highly stylised clock.

Driftwood Coat Rack
This great piece has hand forged coat hooks with copper rivet detailing and they have been set on a beautifully gnarled piece of drift wood from Formby Beach in Merseyside.
The hooks have been forged out of mild steel, as have the back plates and the wall brackets and then given an iron paste and wax finish. The drift wood mount has had a coat of linseed oil and wax polish.
The right hand wall plate has been stamped with where and when the wood was found and when its new life as a coat rack began.

Double Candle Wall Sconce
This was a private commission piece based upon the old medieval wall sconces, with the client requesting that their piece be suitably antiqued.
A forced rust patina was applied over the course of a week and then two coats of lacquer and three coats of wax to inhibit any further corrosion.
This particular design required that the sconce could hold different candles sizes, so there is a spiked recess for smaller tapered candles and the flat dish area can easily hold a 3" church candle.
